Why Cleansing and Rinsing is not the Same

This blog post comes from us being a bit surprised every time we hear this line (and we hear it often!): "I don't need a cleanser, I just wash my face with water."
Truly, nothing can be washed with water, it can only be rinsed (think of your dishes, for example). To bind oily substances such as sunscreen, makeup or pollution particles, you need a formula to remove them. Oil binds with oil, then emulsifies and can be rinsed off, taking all the unwanted dirt with it.

This is why our two cleansers are crucial to any basic skincare routine, as cleansing ensures healthy skin through the removal of impurities, support of the skin function, and the prevention of a variety of skin issues such as acne, premature aging and increased dryness.
1. Nourishing Oil Cleanser
Go with the Nourishing Oil Cleanser as a first cleanse to remove make-up, SPF and clear impurities.
Maiwe's tip: massage this one directly on dry skin if your skin is dry, wet your hands first in case of oily skin!
2. Purifying Cream Cleanser
The Purifying Cream Cleanser will remove dead skin cells and purify the dermis in depth.
Maiwe tip: in case of oily skin and the need for a very simple and quick skincare routine, choose this one! It's universal, multifunctional and will cleanse your skin without stripping off the good stuff that keeps the skin supple.
