The Rosehip Oil Serum is a very concentrated blend of vitamins and essential fatty acids. A few drops are enough to moisturize your face and infuse all the benefits. To bring these vitamins to the larger surface of your body, we’ve developed a simple recipe to create your own body oil. You can make it on your own or invite a little one to help!
What do you need?
A small jar and a stirring spoon
One or more carrier oils such as sweet almond, jojoba, argan, ...
Choose one or more carrier oils. We went for sweet almond oil because of its versatility, richness in mineral salts and jojoba because it fits all skin types and has a very interesting texture.
Tip: prefer organic oils and check the ingredient list to see whether the oil is 100% pure and not refined.
A bit of inspiration on carrier oils:
Avocado oil is softening, protecting and perfect for dry skin
Castor oil strengthens nails and boosts dry and devitalized hair
Argan oil is regenerating and anti-aging
Prickly pear oil for a luxurious shot of vitamin E
Macadamia oil to relieve redness, scars and wounds
Step 2
Blend your carrier oils.
Tip: No need to measure, tune in to your intuition to make the mixture.
Step 3
Carefully add drops of Rosehip Oil Serum. For a quantity of about 30 ml of body oil we’ve added 20 drops of glowy Serum drops.
Tip: stir once in a while and see how the colour and smell of your mixture is changing while you keep adding drops.
Step 4
If you would like to incorporate a smell or a special property, dive into the world of essential oils! We’ve used geranium and rose wood for a foresty, yet upbeat smell.
Tip: it’s recommended to avoid essential oils when pregnant
Essential oils inspiration
Peppermint: used to boost energy and aid digestion
Lavender: used to relieve stress
Sandalwood: used to calm nerves and help with focus
Rose: used to improve mood and reduce anxiety
Tea Tree: used to fight infections and boost immunity
Step 5
Massage your body oil into your legs, arms and entire body. Can be used as a hair oil too. Enjoy!
Tip: the unscented version is great for pregnant bumps. Rosehip is the nature’s best kept secret to reduce stretch marks.
