During the last week, we have hosted a pop-up store in Paris. An experience that left us completely high on vibes and inspiration. Spending time in le Marais, where Paris' finest boutiques and galleries are grouped together, felt so rewarding. We will miss our daily walks to the store, holding a pain au chocolat in one hand, and a cappucino avoine in the other. There wasn't much time in between the store, meetings and dinners to visit the wonderful parks and museums that Paris has to offer, so we decided to list our neighbourhood favourites for you. Enjoy!
The quirkiest independent book store of Paris. We were lucky to attend the launch of one of our favourite magazines' latest edition, The Plant Magazine. As Ianthé, who's in charge of MAIWE's communication, said it: "0fr. holds a selection of everything I find beautiful".
An absolute favourite. The food, the natural wines, the atmosphere, everything blends perfectly. Only a stone's throw away from the pop-up, Le Clown Bar is a must-visit to start your night out in the town. We had an intimate team dinner together, to celebrate the past year's milestones, and share ideas about what is yet to come for MAIWE. Fun fact: the Art Nouveau walls are decorated with clown drawings, hence the name of this unique Parisian restaurant.
If you know MAIWE, you know we prefer to shop seasonal vegetables over fur coats and high heels. Strolling around at the market is our favourite passe-temps, and it shouldn't come as a surprise that the oldest market in Paris was just around the corner of our pop-up store. Moreover, it's a place to have lunch in the open air, and try a different style every day at one of the endless food stalls. Weekend vibes guaranteed!
It's simple: we love coffee. Paris is home to the crème de la crème, and it's no different when it comes to a fine brew. When exploring the city, for prospection, meetings and visits, we had coffee on the go all around Paris. To come to the conclusion that the absolute best was just next door, at Typica.
