Developing the Daily Mineral Sunscreen

Some things take time. And this one took three years. When we started developing our Daily Mineral Sunscreen SPF30, we weren't looking to just add a sunscreen to our range. We wanted to build something we could fully stand behind — a formula that is lightweight, non-sticky, leaves no white cast, and is made entirely from natural ingredients. That combination turned out to be harder to achieve than we expected.

Why mineral. Why natural. Why SPF30.

From the very beginning, the choice for mineral was clear. Chemical filters absorb UV rays and convert them into heat using synthetic ingredients that penetrate the skin — which is often where irritation begins. Mineral sunscreen works differently: natural zinc oxide sits on top of the skin and physically reflects UV rays away.
Alongside zinc oxide, we formulated with ectoin, hyaluronic acid and rosehip seed extract for daily hydration and barrier support. Clean, effective, and safe for the whole family.

As for SPF30: it blocks 97% of UVB rays, versus 98% for SPF50. For daily use, that's more than sufficient. What matters most is applying enough — and reapplying throughout the day.

The last step that made us wait.

We were ready to launch earlier this season. But we made the decision to wait.

Before introducing the formula to you, we wanted to complete one final stability test — to make sure the formula stays consistent and homogeneous in real-life conditions, not just in the lab. SPF testing: done. Shelf life: confirmed. Stability: almost there.

It would have been easier to move forward. After three years of development, the finish line was right there. But for us, it needed to feel complete. Even if that meant missing part of sunscreen's high season.
